Accessibility statement

Found a barrier? Tell us.
Email accessibility@easyfuud.com with the page you were on and what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge within 2 working days and to give you a fix or a workaround within 10 working days. If you need information from this site in a different format, ask us and we will provide it.
Our commitment
Easy Fuud is used by people ordering dinner, and by the staff running the restaurants that serve it. Both groups include people with disabilities, and a food ordering page that cannot be used with a screen reader or a keyboard is a page that turns customers away.
We are working to make the Easy Fuud services conform to EN 301 549, the European standard for accessible ICT, which incorporates WCAG 2.1 level AA.
The law this statement is made under
The European Accessibility Act (Directive (EU) 2019/882) is transposed in Ireland by the European Union (Accessibility Requirements of Products and Services) Regulations 2023 (S.I. No. 636/2023), which have applied since 28 June 2025.
Easy Fuud provides an e-commerce service — consumers browse, order and pay for food online through it — so the requirements in Schedule 1, Part 4(g) of those Regulations apply to us. In summary we must make sure that:
- information about how the service works is perceivable, operable, understandable and robust, and is available through more than one sensory channel;
- the website and any associated mobile applications are designed to be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust;
- identification, authentication, security and payment functions are accessible;
- support channels provide information about accessibility and compatibility with assistive technologies through accessible means of communication;
- restaurants selling through the platform can publish accessibility information about what they offer.
How we work towards this
- Semantic HTML with proper heading structure, landmarks and labelled form fields.
- Full keyboard operability, with a visible focus indicator, across ordering, checkout and the dashboard.
- Text and interactive elements that meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast ratios.
- Text that resizes and reflows to 200% without loss of content or function.
- Alternative text on meaningful images, and decorative images hidden from assistive technology.
- Error messages that identify the field and describe the problem in words, not colour alone.
- Accessibility considered at design time, and checked before release rather than retro-fitted.
Support is available by email at support@easyfuud.com and through the in-app help centre, which includes written step-by-step guides as well as video walkthroughs — so no instruction depends on being able to watch a video.
Compliance status and known limitations
Easy Fuud is partially conformant with EN 301 549 / WCAG 2.1 AA: most of the platform meets the standard, but we have not yet completed an independent third-party audit of every surface, and the areas below are known to fall short or to be outside our direct control. We are stating this plainly rather than claiming full conformance we have not verified.
Restaurant-supplied content
Menu photographs, descriptions and promotional images are uploaded by each restaurant. We prompt for alternative text but cannot guarantee every restaurant provides it. We are working to make alt text a required field.
Self-order kiosk and digital menu board
These are large-format touch and display surfaces designed for in-store use. Screen-reader support on the kiosk is limited. Staffed counter service is always available as an alternative, and every kiosk menu is also reachable as a standard web page.
Point of Sale and Kitchen Display apps
These are staff-facing tools, not consumer services, so they fall outside the e-commerce requirements. We nonetheless apply the same design standards and welcome feedback on them.
Third-party payment forms
Card entry is rendered by our payment providers (Stripe and Ryft) inside their own secure frames. We choose providers that publish accessibility conformance information, but we do not control those interfaces directly.
Because the platform is under continuous development, individual areas may temporarily fall below the standard. If you find one, please tell us — that feedback is how these get fixed.
Restaurants: your ordering page is yours too
If you run a restaurant on Easy Fuud, your customers reach you through a page you control the content of. Three things make the biggest difference:
- Write real item descriptions rather than relying on a photo to explain the dish.
- Keep allergen and ingredient information complete and in text, not baked into an image.
- Use plain, specific item names — "Chicken curry (mild)" reads better than "Curry #3".
You are responsible for the accessibility of the content you publish; we are responsible for the platform that displays it.

Review
This statement was published on 31 July 2026 and is reviewed at least annually, and whenever the platform changes materially. It is based on our own evaluation of the service against EN 301 549.
